Cosmic Curiosities of the Week

Ooh, wee. It’s been a week. On one hand, I’ve been in an energized cleaning mode the past two days. Thanks Leo & Virgo Moon. I spent 5 hours cleaning/dusting my office/room. On the other hand, I’ve had no energy to be creative, just stuck when it comes to writing. This past year has been a huge game-changer for me in terms of acceptance, surrendering, and not making any of it mean jack shit. Well, at least that’s the goal.

Here’s a little Cosmic Happenings update for your curiosity. . .

Mars moved into Leo last Friday, June 11th. Mars is known as the planet of action, the archetypal warrior. Powerful, passionate, and pure instinctual determination. In its darkest shadow form, it’s rage, cruelty, and sadism. Because of this, it can be conflated with aggression and destruction. Mars is a Fire planet, ruled by Aries which is symbolized by the Ram.

Leo is ruled by the Sun and ruler of the heart. Leo is the Lion/ess that fiercely protects and gently nurtures. Leo loves the spotlight. Loyal. Outspoken. Energetic. Unfuckwithable.

Leo is a Fire sign, encouraging us to be both tame and untamed. Leo roars and gives zero fucks when it comes to being who you are with every fiber of your being.

So, Mars in Leo… the Ram & the Lion. Lots of fire! Fire animates + energizes. The energy may be strong, the push forward without pause. You might need the fire to be lit under us or you might need to resist the urge to go full speed ahead.

It's Hip to be Square

On Wednesday, June 16, we had the 2nd Saturn-Uranus square. The first was on Feb. 17th and

the 3rd, and last, will be on Dec. 24th. It’s been said this is the biggest cosmic energy of the year. Typically, the 2nd square energy comes through the strongest. Think of it as “problem, solution, action.”-Leah Whitehorse. Take some time to think back to what was going on in your world in February and what’s coming up now.

Uranus- Saturn actually started to come through cosmically last Dec and will stay together until Feb. 2022, just not in a square.

Saturn is our psychological need for structure, boundaries, and discipline. It’s our hopes + dreams in concrete form. Uranus is our psychological need for change, liberation and freedom.

A square, a 90° angle between planets, creates tension. A “cosmic clash of opposing forces” @jennracioppi. Think of it as a potential for a cosmic pressure cooker. This square, Saturn is in Aquarius and Uranus is in Taurus. Let’s break this down. . .

Saturn- structure, order, control- in the sign of Aquarius- idealistic, free-spirited, visionary.

Uranus- rebellious, disruptor, unexpected- in the sign of Taurus- stable, patient, comfort.

ALL. IN. A. SQUARE. That’s a lot of motherfucking tension right there.

Saturn/Uranus knows old ways of being aren’t working and change must happen, even though Taurus might not want it to. It’s the cosmic pull between old/new, rules/freedom, stability/chaos.

To take this deeper, look to your natal chart to see which houses Taurus and Aquarius fall into. It’s likely to have the biggest impact in those areas. For me, Taurus is in my 1st House: Self, identity, body/appearance and Aquarius is in my 10th House: career, profession, goals. I can definitely say there’s been some shit going on for me in those areas!

Luna-Love

Yesterday, June 17th, was the First Quarter Moon in Virgo. The First Quarter phase when the Moon is halfway between Full + New. It’s when the Sun + Moon form a 90° square, which can be a tense aspect. We’re getting closer to the Full Moon, waxing towards the light. ♍ Virgo Moon energy is more structure, organized, even emotions take on an analytical nature. It dots all the I’s, crosses the T’s, and checks all the boxes.

Just try to not overdo it and go easy on yourselves and others.

Oh, I forgot to mention Summer Solstice, Jupiter Retrograde, and Cancer Season. . . guess that’ll be next time!

Well, that was A LOT! Wanna chat more? Feel free to send me an email, DM or Let’s Chat!
