Spring Cleaning for the Soul: Full Moon in Libra

I was sitting here gathering my thoughts around Sunday’s Full Moon in Libra (11:28a PT) and I find notes from last year’s Full Moon in Libra. (Insert #allthefeels).

We’ve come full circle with the Equinox/Aries Astrological New Year.

We’ve all changed in ways we never knew could happen.

This photo really captures the Full Moon in Libra and Sun in Aries. The fire of Aries juxtaposing the air of Libra with the birds, movement and grace.

Full Moons are about releasing, things coming to fruition. They bring the light and illuminate the shadows. Even though we are experiencing the bright light and release, on the heels of the Aries/Equinox there’s still a sense of renewal and new beginnings.

I don’t know about you but I’ve been keenly aware of the grief, loss, and struggles this past year has brought to my psyche and the collective psyche. I’m also really tuned into the ways this past year has helped me to thrive in a way I wasn’t able to before.

Which is really the tone of the Aries Sun-Libra Full Moon energy. It’s the tension of the me, me, me Aries fiery, feistiness and the you, you, you Libra balancing harmony. Libra loves community, working together for a better world. Aries sees the growth that motivation from adversity can bring and a unique independent leadership.

The short breakdown of it:

Aries: Fire: ruled by Mars, archetypal masculine: Cardinal Sign

Libra: Air: ruled by Venus, archetypal feminine: Cardinal Sign

So you can see how they complement and challenge each other. Remember, Cardinal signs are initiators, they are determined to get their way. They just go about it differently.

You might have been feeling this need to move quickly, get things done.

All planets are direct, no retrogrades, and moving fast. Another note is that the Sun, Venus, and Chiron (all in Aries) all close to each other and opposite the Moon (when the Moon is full its in opposition to the Sun). An Opposition aspect is motivating and influential. It's a tension but one which brings awareness, insight, and understandings.

This means that while Aries brings direct action, the Full Moon in Libra and the Venus/Chiron in Aries opposition will have a certain sensitivity and vulnerability. In its shadow aspect, Libra Full Moon energy may find you making too many compromises, being codependent, or indecisive.

The Sun LOVES being in Aries. Venus? Not so much. Venus is in Cazimi, "the heart of the Sun." Cazimi is when a planet is super close to and illuminated by the Sun. Aries is far too direct for the serenity of Venus. When brought together, Venus balances Aries restless impatience and ability to "do" with a gentle expression of these emotions.

Chiron is represented by the Wounded Healer. Our connection to our deepest wounds and our efforts to heal it. In Aries, the attention is drawn to our personal wounds/healing and being motivated to use the lessons/energy in a helpful way.

Reflection Questions:

Where am I out of balance?

Where am I in balance?

How can I be in better balance in relationship to others? To myself?

What are my partnerships/relationships bringing/not bringing to my life?

Am I taking more than I'm giving? Or vice versa?

What old wounds are being brought to light?

Am I being proactive in healing?

How can I use this healing to move forward?

TL:DR

Full Moon in Libra at 11:28a PT, Sunday March 28, 2021.

The Libra Full Moon soothes the Fiery Aries Sun. We are drawn to see how we are in relation to each other, how we can be in better balance with both our inner and outer relationship. The special positions of Venus/Chiron/Sun to the Full Moon will give us the wisdom, courage, and strength to reset this balance. We are gifted the ability to face our confrontations and wounds in a gentle way, yet more direct than usual. A sort of Spring Cleaning for the Soul.

One of the things I love the most about being in tune with the cosmic happenings is how it all impacts my life AND the lives of those around me. There's just a certain sense of comfort when the energy of what's "up" there is directly reflected in my psyche in relation to my own Natal astrological chart. It goes far beyond just knowing "your sign."

As always, may the light shine on you. May the shadows teach you. May you be open to the signs and symbols all around you. They are always there, you just need the right kind of vision.
